1. Data Controller

At this time, no Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed. All privacy-related requests can be addressed to the email above.

2. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• visitors of the BeProud.ai website;
• registered users of the BeProud.ai application;
• users subscribed to newsletters or waiting lists;
• users who voluntarily connect third-party services, platforms, or wearable devices.

3. Personal Data We Collect

3.1 Data provided directly by users

• Identification and contact data (e.g. name, email address, language, country);
• Account credentials (passwords are stored only in encrypted/hashed form);
• Athletic profile data (e.g. age or age range, sex if provided, height, weight, goals, availability);
• Performance data manually entered by the user (e.g. FTP, thresholds, subjective feedback);
• Communications with support or feedback messages.
• Personal notes provided to the AI Coach (e.g. mood, fatigue, perceived effort, upcoming events, vacations, injuries) used to personalize your training plan.

3.2 Data collected automatically

• IP address;
• device, browser, and operating system information;
• access logs and usage data;
• technical and diagnostic data (e.g. error logs);
• if you turn on notifications in the mobile app, a device token used only to send you notifications about the Service (released when you sign out);
• essential cookies and similar technologies.

4. Data from Third-Party Integrations (Garmin & others)

BeProud.ai allows users to connect third-party platforms only after explicit user authorization.

4.1 Supported or potential integrations

BeProud.ai may support integrations including, but not limited to:

Garmin • Strava • Apple Health • Google Fit • Fitbit • COROS • Polar • Suunto • Wahoo • Whoop • Oura • TrainingPeaks • Intervals.icu • Zwift • MyFitnessPal

Integration availability may vary over time.

4.2 Categories of data that may be received

Depending on the permissions granted by the user and the provider, BeProud.ai may receive:

• activity data (sport type, duration, distance);
• performance metrics (pace, speed, power, cadence);
• heart rate and physiological metrics;
• training load and derived metrics;
• recovery and wellness data (e.g. sleep, HRV, stress);
• activity metadata.

4.3 Advertising in the Android app (Free plan)

On the Free plan, the BeProud.ai Android app shows ads served by Google AdMob. PRO accounts and the website do not use AdMob.

To show and measure ads, Google may process your device advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and ad interactions. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first through Google’s consent form, and you can change your choice at any time.

Your training, health and fitness data are never shared with Google AdMob or any other advertising partner.

5. Purpose of Data Processing

Personal data is processed exclusively for the following purposes:

Service delivery

• account creation and management;
• generation and adaptation of training plans;
• performance analysis and progress tracking;
• synchronization of activities from connected services.

Personalization

• customized insights and recommendations;
• adaptive training logic based on historical data.

Service communications

• account-related and security emails;
• customer support responses.

Security and integrity

• fraud prevention;
• system monitoring and abuse detection.

Product improvement

• aggregated and anonymized analytics;
• bug fixing and performance optimization.

Legal compliance

• regulatory obligations;
• lawful requests from authorities.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

Data is processed based on:

• performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
• user consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR);
• explicit consent for health-related data (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR);
• legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR);
• legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), limited to security and service reliability.

7. Health and Wellness Data

Some data processed by BeProud.ai (e.g. heart rate, sleep, HRV) may qualify as health-related data.

Such data:

• is processed only with explicit user consent;
• is used solely to provide requested features;
• is never sold or shared for advertising purposes.

7.1 Apple Health and Apple Watch (iOS app)

If you connect the Apple Watch in the BeProud.ai iOS app, and only after you allow it in iOS, we read from Apple Health: workouts (sport, start time, duration, distance, energy, heart rate, power, elevation gain), sleep and sleep stages, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV) and VO2max. The app never writes to Apple Health.

With your permission, the app also schedules your upcoming planned sessions in the Workout app on your Apple Watch. Only training plan data is sent to the Watch.

Apple Health data is used only to provide the Service: completing your planned sessions, tracking recovery, adapting your plan and the AI Coach's analyses, for which it is processed by our AI provider (Google) under the conditions described in section 8.

Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, never shared with data brokers or with third parties other than the processors needed to run the Service, and never stored in iCloud by BeProud.ai.

You can disconnect the Apple Watch at any time in Integrations: the data imported from Apple Health is deleted and the workouts BeProud.ai scheduled on your Watch are removed. You can also revoke access in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

Data may be shared only with:

• infrastructure and technical service providers (hosting, databases, email delivery);
• payment processors and app stores for subscriptions (Stripe, PayPal, Apple App Store and Google Play, the latter two through RevenueCat);
• third-party services explicitly connected by the user;
• public authorities when required by law.

All service providers act as data processors under contractual obligations.

10. International Data Transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the EU/EEA.

When applicable, BeProud.ai ensures:

• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs);
• appropriate safeguards;
• encryption and access controls.

11. Data Retention

Data is retained:

• while the user account remains active;
• until the user requests deletion;
• as required by applicable legal obligations.

Backups are stored securely for limited periods.

12. User Rights

Users have the right to:

• access their data;
• correct inaccurate data;
• request deletion;
• restrict or object to processing;
• request data portability;
• withdraw consent at any time.

14. Security Measures

BeProud.ai implements appropriate technical and organizational measures, including:

• encryption in transit and at rest where applicable;
• access controls and least-privilege policies;
• monitoring and logging;

The Service uses essential technical cookies. Non-essential cookies are used only where required and with user consent.

16. Children

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

This Privacy Policy may be updated. The latest version will always be available on the website with the updated date.
